Children in urban spaces: developing an interdisciplinary research and reflection tool for child friendly urban spaces

This project organises a research and learningprocess around the meaning of child friendly urban spaces and the resulting design implications. There are 4 parallel worck packages: (1) literature review in collaboration with European partners, resulting in internationally published state of the art; (2) critical analysis of local child friendly city agenda in Ghent through Delphi method; (3) research by design cases in four different planning contexts; (4) developing and testing an applicable research and reflection tool for urban planners and educators. In each of these work packages, children are involved als coresearchers.
